A place to heal, grow & discover.
It all began when I was just six years old when I first started taking riding lessons at a local stable. From then on, I spent any moment I could at the farm with the horses. When I was at the barn, I always felt a sense of peace and connection with these amazing animals and as I grew older, my love for horses only grew deeper. When I experienced tragedy in my own life, my horses were a source of strength and healing as they carried me through my grief and loss. They’ve also taught me courage, patience and resiliency, among many other lessons!
As a sensitive, intuitive person by nature I knew that I wanted a career that would allow me to draw on my experiences to help others on their journeys. I also knew that I wanted to partner with horses to do this and I was drawn to deepening my learning in the unique field of Equine Therapy. This quest led me to complete specialized training in Equine Assisted Psychotherapy and Therapeutic Riding. In this work, I have loved seeing the positive impact that interacting with horses has on client’s social, physical and mental wellbeing.
Wanting to further my education in Human Development and Psychology, I went on to complete a Bachelors of Applied Science Degree and a Masters of Social Work Degree.
Over the past 10 years, I have had the privilege of supporting individuals and families from diverse backgrounds on their journeys towards enhanced mental health and wellness. These days, I am passionate about partnering with horses to be able to offer this transformative form of therapy!
Dream Weaver Equine Assisted Therapy & Wellness is the curation of my lifelong dream of combining my passion for helping others with the healing power of horses.
